Were the Gospels in the Holy Bible Eyewitness Testimonies?

This question isn’t easy to answer, but most Christians believe that the Holy Bible is the written word of God and therefore everything and it must be true, so who needs eyewitnesses. This might not be the case, if contradictions in the Gospels can’t be explained.

Were the Gospels in the Holy Bible eyewitness testimonies? The answer to this question is that nobody knows for a fact who actually wrote each one of the four Gospels. If someone told you that the Gospels of the New Testament were based on eyewitness testimonies, there is a pretty good chance, that they don’t know what they’re talking about.

Most biblical scholars agree that Mark was the first of the Gospels written and it was written between 45 and 65A.D. Remember these are only their best guesses and this is what most of the information that scholars believe in today are based on.

To elaborate on the question, I would also like to add that since no one really knows who wrote the four Gospels, how could someone say for a fact that these Gospels were based on eyewitness testimonies. An eyewitness testimony is someone who actually witnessed or watched a particular event that was taking place and recorded it.

The point I would like to make here, is that I was watching a program the other day on Christianity, when someone made this statement,” The book of Matthew was based on eyewitness testimonies.” Don’t quote me on this statement, but it got me thinking about how many people actually believe in something like this.

The next time that someone tells you that the four Gospels or one of the four Gospels was based on eyewitness accounts, ask them if they are giving you scientific evidence or are they simply repeating information that they heard from someone else.

Words From the Holy Bible – A Reference

Over the years, society has been guided by laws to protect the people. Each person has the right and freedom to live a happy life. The laws rooted from a set of rules which was handed down to Moses by God on Mount Sinai. Moses was given these laws for the chosen people. These laws were The Ten Commandments (Exodus 19:1-35,35).

The Israelites represented the people of God, and now the whole human race. There are special studies and interpretations that come with this. Moreover, as God’s followers, a golden rule summarizes into two: Love God and love thy neighbor as thyself. Do good to others as you want others to do to you.

Check on the following information/words from the Ten Commandments:

1. Moses – Moses and the Ten Commandments (Exodus 19:1-34,35); The great leader and law giver of the Israelites. He received the Ten Commandments from God on Mt. Sinai. He stayed with the Lord for 40 days and 40 nights without water, nor food. He wrote the commandments on stone tablets.

2. Sinai - The mountain often identified with several of the Sinai Peninsula in which Moses received the law.

“You will be a nation that belongs to me alone. You must tell the Israelites these words.” (Exodus 19:6)

3. ten - Ten means one more than nine. Ten is a perfect number in rating scores. Man has ten fingers and 10 toes.
